Time To Meditate and Prosper

This is my official commitment to one week (March 28 - April 3 2007) of daily meditation at least once per day for 5 minutes. If I don't make it official with a public post, I might do as I always do and find reasons to get out of it. So there it is, folks. Now I have witnesses. I haven't meditated in what will be exactly one year tomorrow, and I know I need it. So enough is enough. Time to stop procrastinating and start feeling a bit more like myself again (whoever that is lol).

Spock always has been somewhat of an inspiration to me, especially during my earlier years before I discovered Buddhism, so I figured the above picture would be quite appropriate.

And just to put it out there...would anyone be interested in forming an online or virtual meditation group? Meditation would be done in the privacy of your own home (or wherever you would prefer) and all that would be required is 5-10 minutes daily to start. We'd only have to agree on a time. It might act as a motivator for me as well as help establish a structure of sorts to aid me in getting back in the habit. Either way, solo or not, I've given my word, so there's no backing out for me now.

Live Long and Prosper!!!

Thanks, guys. I appreciate your support. I find that 10 pm is a good time usually. I'd like to start morning meditations soon as well, so I'd be meditating at around 6:45am on weekdays.

So far so good. I haven't missed yet!

Reading your blog helps to improve my vocabulary - now I know what 'penumbral' means, lol.
