07/07/07 11:11 AM - Just A Minute Of Peace

"I declare my commitment to human reconciliation, mutual respect, environmental responsibility and sustainable development to create a better world. This symbolic gesture will promote the values that unite us to take one step forward to live in a world of peace and human rights." ~ JAMOP Declaration of Peace

Just A Minute Of Peace is a non-profit, international organization dedicated to peace and worldwide nuclear disarmament. Members already include H.H. The 14th Dalai Lama, Archbishop Desmond Tutu, President Sanchez of Costa Rica, a number of artists and several Nobel prize laureates. On July 7th 2007 at 11:11 AM (coincidentally also my birthday) individuals around the globe will unite in a collective desire for global peace.

Not only do we each create subjective realities with our individual thoughts, beliefs and perceptions, but we also influence a reality that we collectively perceive and experience. Our subjective realities enable us to exist as individuals. Our common reality enables us to function effectively as a group - a nation, society, civilization, race, etc. Thoughts and perceptions are powerful creators of what we perceive and experience. This is also true on a collective scale. Each one us individually influences the collective consciousness of humankind. Perhaps we aren't too small and singular to make a difference after all.

So sign up for JAMOP, think "OM" and
"become part of the movement for a global shift for peace."
DO IT...its my birthday!
