Tapestry

countless little threads
in every possible colour
twisting
on the loom of the world
majestically intermingled fibers
each individual strand
necessary
to the infinitley coloured whole
perfect in its imperfections
complete in its deficiencies
harmony and chaos
ecstasy and suffering
everything and nothing
all perfectly intertwined and
synchronistically knit together
i am simply
a single
unbroken thread of awareness
in the tapestry of the universe
who has forgotten
that not only am i the weaver.....
but also the tapestry
on which existence is woven

M,
just love the way you've brought out this parallel, a thread in the tapestry that has forgotten that "it is the tapestry and it is the weaver", and indeed we are these threads, these pieces that make up the whole and yet so unware of the infinity inside us...beautiful..concise and complete. Keep them coming

See what complete solitude and being cut off from all social contact can do? lol
Glad you like.

I can see that this poem is inspired by Buddhist thought... :)

I've bought Eckhart Tolle's The Power of Now - I can't wait to read it! But I need to have the luxury of time to be able to do so...

Oh, and Jim Carrey is a huge fan of Eckhart Tolle. I read a Time article recently, it was an interview with Jim Carrey - he visited Tolle at his place in Canada once because he admires Tolle so much! Jim Carrey is a devout Buddhist too, he also believes that time doesn't exist and etc.
