Fellow blogger/friend 'Nothing' has "caught the ball" in a recent blog circulation in which you have to blog 4 things that no one knows about you, or at least 4 things not many do. Since Nothing threw the '4 things' ball at me and because I enjoy things that encourage introspection and the like, here are my 4 things:
- I took ballet lessons for 2 years when I was younger, then took tap and jazz dancing for several months each. Although I hung up my tutu and tap shoes many years ago, to this day I'd still say I enjoy dancing. I don't very often, however, for several reasons, the main one being that there aren't too many places to dance to good music and I've developed a distaste for most bar scenes. And its not that I'm not a great dancer or anything, either. I just like dancing.
- When I was around 6 years old I got a needle for a routine immunization (for polio or something like that). This memory stands out because I remember how much I really looked forward to getting my next one.
- When I lived in SSM I went to City Hall and got myself a free "license claiming I didn't need a license" so I could charge for reading tarot cards. Then I started feeling bad for making people pay for something they could easily do themselves, so I stopped doing it. I hardly EVER do it anymore...and I'd never charge for it again.
- When my Gramma was alive she always used to slip us 5 or 10 dollars when we came to visit. After she died, I was helping my mom clean my Gramma's apartment and when I started to take stuff down from the shelf in her bedroom closet a $10 dollar bill fell out at me. It meant alot to me that she still seemed to be giving me money, even from beyond death, so I kept it. One year I was so broke (even after selling the majority of my Star Trek and Star Wars collection) that I was forced to spend it. But I wrote the serial number down. It's a Canadian ten dollar bill with the number #BEE2589229. So if anyone ever comes across this bill, please notify me.
