In 2013 I managed to read 26 books, which was 2 less than in 2012. It was definitely a very busy year with our wedding (June 3rd 2013), out of town house guests, my brother's wedding (September 1st 2013, even though we only attended through Skype) and our 3 week long honeymoon. This SHOULD be a quieter year, so here's hoping I can at least hit 50 books for 2014.
