Every little once in a while, I am forced to see that amidst the monumental and inconsequential cloud of existence and the very real emptiness that consumes everything like a parasite consumes its host, that regardless of all the inherent void of the universe, in certain isolated moments there really is SOMETHING. Even when it's perhaps nothing at all. 'Something' merges with 'nothing' and for a short while I feel that I have existed within a bubble of pure experience that has flowed outside of time. No attachment, no clinging, no hope, but no pain, no suffering...just mild forgetfulness and the apparent letting go of both extremes. Peace (at least in that moment) at last....in a fleeting instance I became aware of the significance of nothing at all.
Then time begins to flow again...and I remember everything...but at least there was a brief and transitory 'something' just as I had started to think that the 'nothing' would consume me.
During a 'journey' with a good friend this past weekend, we stumbled across the above picture, right around the corner from where I live. I take this way often, but I had never seen 'something' before. I thought it to be a strange synchronicity, so I went back and took a picture.

Long time no see. Might it be a synchronicity that I have read your post and was just thinking about synchronicity yesterday?? lol.
Yesterday, a word slipped my mind as I was typing and for the life of me I couldn't recall it. I went to the dictionary that I keep on the shelf in my office and randomly opened it. Not only did I open to the exact page that the word was on, but my finger was next to the word definition itself. It sent a shiver up my spine...
Moments of realizing "the significance of nothing at all" is a blessing and exactly "the state" that The Course in Miracles (ACIM) trys to teach people to achieve. There's a link to ACIM on my personal blog if you aren't familiar with it.
